We hope our Nativity family has enjoyed the convenience of a parish library. Its purpose is to provide a means for us to share reading material that teach and inspire us to grow in all areas of life. You may have noticed the addition of the “Care Notes” displays which were recently updated to include booklets on practical topics such as stress management, single parenting, strengthening a struggling marriage, and handing on your faith to your family. If you haven’t used the library recently or in the past, please take a few moments before or after Mass to visit in back of church.
Another change is you are no longer required to check books out. Books added to the library will not have the card & pocket in the back cover. When you return books, please put them in the bin designated for returns and not back on the shelf. We will reshelf to ensure items remain under the labelled category. Thank you for the many donations made to the library. They are always welcomed and can be placed in the designated bin in the back of church.
Donate Books/Magazines – (new or slightly used). Material appropriate for all ages is desired: toddlers, grades K-8, teens, young adults and beyond. Reading material should inspire and promote Christian learning and values. Suggested topics are: children’s biblical stories, teen and youth books that build Christian values and character, books on marriage and relationships, living single, forgiveness, loss & grief, spiritual & prayer life, meditation books, physical health & nutrition, parenting skills, coping with chronic or terminal illness, stewardship & financial planning, biblical commentaries & study aides, books on the Holy Spirit, the saints, and biographies & autobiographies of individuals whose lives inspire. Large print and audio books will be useful. You are not limited to these suggestions as long as it material promotes Christian learning and values. Thank you for your continued support and enjoy!
