In 2013 we granted the first 4 scholarships to college students who were members of Nativity under provisions of the Changing Lives Together program. This year would have been the last year of granting scholarships under that program. However, due to past generous donations, and the prudent investment of Father Singer, funds became available for continued scholarship activity. Funds have been invested so that an annual scholarship program should be available on a continuing basis.
There have been changes to the scope and process. To begin with there are now three categories: Higher Education, Secondary Parochial Education, and Primary Parochial Education. The proposed changes have been reviewed and approved by the Parish Council. All three categories are limited to active members of Nativity. The applications are to be received not later than June 1st to be considered. Awards will be chosen from qualified applicants in the order they are received.
Applications are color coded with the application on the front and guidelines on the back. Forms will be available in the back of church during March, April, and May. The application forms for Higher Education are yellow. The application forms for Parochial Secondary Education are green. The application forms for Parochial Primary Education are blue. If someone wants to have an electronic version of the form, they can email a request to [email protected], and I will send them one.
